Whoops. Guess I misunderstood. 'Twas crapola all day up here. Outlook is not too great for the weekend.

i am soooo happy that i drove the beater into work today!

i have the misfortune of working in jersey city which was pretty much underwater today. there were standing puddles of about 2-3 feet on the sideroads and intersections. i saw this brand new 745li stranded in a puddle that came up over his front lights! it was like a battlefield, there were flooded cars and tons of traffic everywhere. my s2000 w/ CAI which also happens to be lowered, wouldve surely have died a horrible wet death.

straddled to my rusty but trusty 1990 accord, i slowly crossed the nile in a ton of traffic. up front was a passat which slowly started to disappear into the murky depths. water started coming up over my hood then my worst fears were almost realized when the passat came to a grinding halt! i slowly maneuvered my way past him and into the shallow water. the accord stumbled as i gas'd her and the whine of the wet belts caused me some concern, but she shook it off like a true warrior and prepared for the next puddle eagerly.

i was pretty much pissed off at the world, considering that it took me about two and a half hours to travel 11 miles in my non-airconditioned accord (it was HUMID). but all was forgotten when i opened my garage and saw my baby there.. asleep and dry

ahhhh..

There's always a silver lining to every cloud...

except here in Southern California - where there's never clouds!

Nothing but , and more !

Saturday morning, just had a brief passing sprinkle along the coast but blue sky to follow. Humidity 100% . I'm off to the treadmill. These vacations are brutal on my girlie figure.

Aren't you glad that we don't have 4's REALLY BORING weather in SoCal??? Pattern of partly sunny, very humid days coming up through the middle of next week. Humidity now 94% with fog! Chance of showers and storms each day, of course...

The boring weather isn't the only problem in So Cal. I like it here in the Northeast in spite of the rain.

I would like to get just one weekend without the "threat" of rain. Missing a lot of good driving time.

I think what made this year so bad was that the weather has been relentless. It started with an awful winter, moved to a wet, chilly spring, and then every 2nd day rain in the summer. I don't mind a stretch of nasty weather but man...this year wears you down. I don't know about "y'all" (since I'm in the Carolinas I have to talk that way ), but the older I get the lower my tolerance for crappy weather. I don't like weather to impact my plans. That's what I hate the most. Whether it's a snow storm that turns a normal 20 minute commute into an hour or a monsoon that prohibits me from driving my S. I guess I can sum it up this way...I want weather to happen AROUND me, not AT me.
