Rain again, again.
54*F (!) and sunny this morning, with the high only in the 70s. Autumn approaches! Also, one day closer to the arrival of my baby!
Could someone please build me a time machine so I can fast-forward a few weeks?
Hey! It stopped raining. I can think about taking the car out this weekend
And did anyone see the new amphibious roadster that is coming out. It will do about 100 mph on land and 30 mph in the water. Of course, it priced is"similar to a helicopter"
oh - it's in the 70's - no rain the sun is coming out sometime today -

Thursday 8:30AM. I drove to work this morning about 6:30 or so, it was severe clear, sunny, and 49*F!!!???!!!
Even with the heat on there was a really chilly draft on the back of my neck; I'm going to have to do something about that, like a Rick's windscreen or headrest inserts, or SOMETHING.
Going up to low 70s today, no rain "predicted" for the next few days, so hopefully the weekend will be nice.

Quik,
That sucks about the ticket. Here in Illinois the laws require the officer to show you the readout if he clocked you via radar, VASCAR or lidar. Obviously if he was clocking you using his speedo he can't show you the readout, but usually here it's radar that gets you. Also the ticket forms used in Illinois indicate the method of determining the violator's speed, and the date/time of last calibration of the measuring device.
Dunno if any of this helps you, but it might be worth trying to fight it if he failed to indicate how he clocked you; the old Mk. Ia eyeball is NOT a reliable speed measurement device.

Rob, there is a spray that will work. Get a good 12 gage with an open bore (no choke)! It will spray the shot pretty good.....not sure what would happen to the pear tree, though.
Side benefit from above remedy, fried squirrel is pretty tasty.

I used a leelte .22 rimfire bolt action, and it worked pretty good. That said, I haven't hunted in over 30 years, and don't plan to. I gave up my guns when we had kids and never got back into shooting. The S more than makes up for any remaining desire to do that sort of thing (from a fun activity perspective, obviously not meaning using the S as a weapon
)
MAJOR rainstorm this AM & I was driving through it on back roads!
I've seen flooded roads before, but these were not only covered with water but with rocks (from the side of the road), small to medium tree branches & who know what else (could've sworn I saw the top of an Miata in one of those puddles).

I was in 1st gear more than anything else & of course I had a big, ugly SUV tailing me (showoff).
One of the few times I was glad to see the office!
