Quik That stinks about the ticket, but I'm glad you are going to fight it!! Don't let that cop bully you!
You have a good argument going -
1) You were speeding up to avoid the big rig because the lanes were merging, and it probably wouldn't have been safe to brake hard enough to get BEHIND the big right!
2) If he doesn't have some sort of proof that you were going 80, then there is a good chance he is just guessing. As far as I know, eyeballing it doesn't hold water here in California anymore, unless you're being observed by aircraft.
ralper What's the name of that spray? Must be armed for next year >
4 Did somebody say toasters?
Well, I'm going to go on my first drive/meet/whatever you call it this Saturday!! I'm quite excited. *^^*
Oh yes, 5:00 pm and it's a beautiful 81* with clear skies and a cool breeze.
I was running late today, so I didn't get to enjoy the drive. I did get to appreciate the quick acceleration of the S again, though.

Rob,
Since you are the Grand Poobah of the Rain Thread, is there going to be a Rain Table at the Fall Colors banquet? If so, I can bring my little sleep machine that makes rain sounds. We'll all feel right at home.

Minako
I'll post the name of the spray in about an hour after I get it from the garage.
Quik
Fight the ticket. Don't let the cop get away with that nonsense. I don't understand one thing. If you opt to fight a ticket to you give up the right to attend the classes in Cali?
Ohio
I hope it doesn't rain at Fall Colors, but it looks like you, Lajster, maybe Deb and I are going to be the only representatives of the Rain Thread there. The four of us also qualify for "Vintage". Maybe we can be the "Vintage Rain" people.
