Adam's 9th birthday was 2 weeks ago. For a special treat we picked up two of his friends and took them bowling. After bowling we went to Sports N Games and let them play in the "Foam Frenzy" for a few hours. We stopped to have some birthday ice creme at "Maggie Moos" (best ice creme in north Jersey). They're in the basement playing now. I'm going to get some pizzas and then take them home. We didn't let the rain stop us.

I has been raining all day as hard as I have ever seen. Route 10 has some flooding. I'm not sure the ground can absorb much more water. I think we're (Northern New Jersey) in for some bad flooding in the next few days.

Ohio

I'm glad you got some dry weather.

Jeff

I can't believe you didn't get any rain. Lucky dog!

Its hard to believe that this is the first day of summer. It feels like an autumn rain. My wife, E.W.A. won't let me put the heat on but its only 63*F in the house.

The amount of rain we've been getting the last several months is reaching biblical levels:

O.K. Here are the plans, start building!

The Ark of Noah was a barge-like structure probably built of cypress or cedar ("gopherwood"). It was about 450 feet long by 75 feet in beam, and 45 feet high. Such a boat would displace 20,000 tons and have a gross tonnage of 14,000 tons. There were three decks, one door (in the side) and a window 18 inches high probably running around the top of the vessel under the roof. The ark was caulked "within and without" with pitch (Hebrew: kopher = "to cover,"---translated "atonement" elsewhere in the Old Testament).

The capacity of the ark was about 522 railroad cars, (1.4 million cubic feet). Only 188 railroad cars would be required to hold a pair of each of the 17,600 species of animals presently known to man, according to Dr. John Morris of the Institute of Creation Research. (This number of cars includes food supplies for a year's subsistence). From this we can assume that many perhaps as many as two-third of the species originally created by God are already extinct.

MyBad and I are, I think, the only architects on the board so we get to split the design fee

Hmmm, about 32,000sf/floor x 3 levels; = 96,000sf x $200/sf= $19MM~ x 10% A&E fee= $1,900,000
