Why is the tire/oil/etc information always on the passenger side when it's the driver who usually needs to look at it??
My tire pressure info and paint codes, etc, are on the driver's side door jamb. My oil information is on my oil fill cap. Both are where they should be.
Time for another random question. This time, I was wondering, if any of you have as much trouble as I do seeing stop lights when I park at the white line. For just about every light in my area, when I stop on the line where I'm suppose to (first car in line) the bar accross the top of the windshield blocks my view. So I either have to crouch down to look out the windshield, or sit up really high and lean back to see over it.
Now I'm not all that tall (5'11") but my seat has to be almost all the way back to have my legs in proper position. This angle just puts that bar in my way, every, single, time. Now I know what those lower lights are for, the one that look like they'd be for pedestrians, except where there are no walkways.

Hmmm... xviper, that's strange... mine have almost always been on the passenger side (inluding my '01 S2k, '97 prelude sh, '88 Porsche 944, and a '91 subaru legacy)...
On left door edge: VIN
On left door jamb: VIN, Exterior color code
On right door edge: VIN
On right door jamb: VIN, interior color code, tire information
So, you are right about the tire info. "Oil, etc." is spread out all over the place.
Oil info on oil fill cap. None in the doors.
PS. On our PT Cruiser, tire info is in the left door area, as is on my neighbour's Concorde.

Back again and with a few more things.
First off why is the maximum load limit 400lbs? I don't know about you guys, but I'm not a big guy really and I weight 190 lbs or so. Add one more guy my size or slightly bigger and we'd be at or over the limit, technically meaning we wouldn't be allowed to carry any luggage with us. Does this strike anyone else as slightly odd? And what happens if we go over the limit? Will the suspension just spontaneously give out and drop us to the pavement?
Has anyone actually used the cup holder for a drink? I have put my cell phone/wallet in there and I find that the nub antenna on my cell phone is too high to be comfortable sometimes! I can't imagine that you'd be able to even shift your car with a 40oz drink in there!
Where does everyone put their hands on the wheel? Are you a one hand at the top kind of person? Or maybe you prefer to hold the thicker part of the perferated leather where you are meant to hold? Or do you hook your thumbs on top of the cross support so that you can "hang" your arms?
