Rear Differential Fluid - conflicting advice
I've received conflicting advice from several sources:
1. Owner's manual - 1st change at 15,000 miles and then a change every 15,000 miles thereafter (I believe).
2. Reputable s2ki member - 1st change at 3,000 - 5,000 miles due to build-up of metal filings in rear diff fluid during break-in. Then every 15,000 thereafter.
3. Jim Coleman Honda (MD) service rep - 1st change should be at 30,000 - 50,000 miles. This seems wrong.
Two questions:
1. When should the FIRST rear diff fluid change occur on a NEW S2000?
2. How much should it cost if they use the right fluid? Different dealers have quoted me different prices, $69 - $140.
Thanks for the help,
Marcus
