Default Rear window broke by itself

Yesterday I put my top down and just as it got into the well the window shattered.
Has this happened to anyone else or am I just lucky. The dealer said they never had it happen before and a new window installed is $1000 dollars. Please respond if it has happened to you or anyone you know

Thanks Ken

It hapens to plenty of people with the plastic ones, but I've never heard of it happening with a glass one. I'm sure something was binding or not folding right. Are you under warranty? BTW, a new top installed should be around $1k, a new window shouldn't be anywhere near that price. Hope you don't have to pay for it.

I have never heard of that either. I hope they replace it under warranty for you.
