If you are referring to the little vertical slab of lexan/lucite whatever between the seats on my2001 and up, it's called an "aeroscreen" I think. To answer your question, I took mine off and plugged the holes w/i six months of buying the car, and have not considered putting it back. Makes it impossible to clean the inside window or reach anything in the back well. It makes no discernable difference in cabin wind. I view it as an affectation (just look at the name of the thing). I am quite tall though, and perhaps it makes a difference to those that sit lower in the car. More information than you needed?????

I have the Ricks Full Windscreen and it does help. Its a lot more noticable with the top down and the windows up.

However, the stock screen is useless.

I have a one piece 7/8 screen that makes an improvement over stock and offers improved visibility (great if you're a shorter driver) and eliminates vibration. No aeroscreen will totally eliminate all wind though.
