my ap2 pulls so good in every gear that i dont wanna shift, but i shift at the first blink, so i can stay in vtec.

He meant that he went 3 --> 2 when he was aiming for 4th. Fuel or spark cut won't help a mechanical over rev caused by mis-shifting.

Oh yes, many of s2k engines on this board have died to the infamous 3-2 "upshift"
