Redline Blink?

It won't blink unless you cross into 7800+ RPM.
I got another question, is hitting the rev limiter on first/2nd gear dangerous for the engine? might sound stupid but I keep thinking like that because those two gears are so torquey

Oh yes, many of s2k engines on this board have died to the infamous 3-2 "upshift"
check out the modifry shift beeper. It has a lot of great features... 3 sequential beeps spaced at 100,200 or 300 rpm. useful entering corners at the track... compare the gear and number of beeps heard lap to lap to see corner entry speeds and breaking points.
also has a valet mode that will replay the highest rpm back to you...
or you can set the shift beeper to go off at 4k (or something low) with a louder than supplied beeper and place it in the driver head rest. It will be unbearable for whoever is driving to keep going up in the rpm unless they rip it out of your car.

I got 7800 all the time, and the blinker doesn't come on. I believe its when you go past the 8 (AP2) to make the blinker go off.
