I love the sound of my PRM, I have a K&N filter in it that is cleanable. I don't notice a loss of power or gas mileage it seems the same, but sounds wicked.

The whine of the box being off is somewhat annoying.

I bought my AEM V1 CAI (when there was no V2) a few years ago for $200 brand new. There are deals to be had out there, just have to look.

The AEM V2 Intake is pretty sweet sounding as well. The new version has two tubes of different diameters creating a deeper sound and better intake. Also the filter is located under the Front passenger headlight giving it much cooler air. Just giving props to AEM and their intakes. Also since the filter is completley out of the engine bay, the sound is louder. Picked mine up for about $250.00

Install = fun. lol. But seriously, it comes with very detailed instructions (pictures and all). Just jack the front up, cut some plastic (very easy), replace some hoses, mount intake, and your done.

AEM makes the best intake for s2000 IMO, best sound and definitely best HP gain. Get polished intake for extra bling.

If it is sound you are looking for --- with at least no loss in power ---- I would go with the PRM CAI unit. From a performance standpoint, we all could argue all night (and have) over whether the PRM is positioned to intake a sufficient amount of cool air to do any good or not. But from a sound standpoint, it's a real winner. And it does no harm. Maybe even a little increase in throttle response. No danger of hydrolocking like the low-hanging AEMs and the like. And PRM's look great under the hood, too. When I last checked, they were around $300+.

If you want air intake mods for performance and "bang for the buck" there are DIY mods you can do with the stock air box and about $30 in materials that will do a better job of getting cool air to the throttle body. But they won't sound much different, and they aren't pretty! So for sound and looks, PRM is the name to remember.

Thanks
Richard
