I need this mod for sure. So basically all you need is to pull the panel off? Screwdriver required? lol

Cutting wires? Give me a break! Pull the e-brake up ONE click and it will do the same thing as fully engaging it, all it will do is put a light on your dash. You can do it at 50mph if you want to at that point, the brake hasn't even started to engage with one click.

It doesn't need to engage, the sensor simply needs to touch another sensor.
Go cut some more stickers.

This mod is awesome. I did this last summer. Best thing I have done.

Simple phillips screwdriver required for one very small screw.

On the edges of the panel are two push pins. Push them in using the screw driver, and then pry them out with a small tool or your finger nails. They come out very easily. Then pull from the bottom(was easiest for me to grab there), and pull straight out. Should take a LITTLE bit of force, then pop right off.

You cut the black/white wire and then tape the ends of the wire with electrical tape.

You have then disabled the speed sensor wire. You can now operate your top while moving, as long as the parking brake is set ONLY one click up, to activate the BRAKE light on your dask. OBVIOUSLY, only use this when moving less than 15-20 MPH.

Although I can attest to using this ONCE at 30-35 MPH while getting off the highway in a tsunami like downpour.

Thanks a bunch tcho82. So I guess cutting the wire is required eh. In the other thread someone put, you don't necessarily have to cut the wires? I prob will just cut it... I mean.. who would go back to stock.
