Default Removing the Stock Shift Knob

I just got my new voodoo knob in and I want to install it but I'm having difficulty 'unscrewing' the stock knob. Can anyone offer some assistance?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you have to loosen the lock nut below the shift knob.

do you have the stock knob? if so there is a 14mm nut that must be loosened.. if not look for a recessed set screw on the bottom of the aftermarket knob
