repaint the center console?

Default repaint the center console?

i have a 2001 s2000 and the gunmetal paint is wearing off the trim piece around the shifter. i am sure this is a common problem. what have you all dont to resolve it?

Use rubbing alcohol to remove the texture...leaves a stainless finish.

Looks great with the black but I don't think I could tie that in and pull it off with all red.

I used alcohol on mine too. It polished up nicely. I personally like the chrome look with the red interior. Here are some pics of mine:
