Great write-up!

I don't need a new top but one day I'm going to have you add heated seats to my car....

That is one option I REALLY WISH the s2000 had

hey guys, i had my top installed the other day, i have a 2000 and i upgraded to the glass. now does anyone know if its normal to have to pull forward the 3ed bow(the one closest to the glass) every time you drop the top down? ive seen some pics here showing a strap connecting the 2ed and 3ed bow, but do you guys still pull it forward by hand. please lmk i hate having to do that every single time i put the top down. it kinda kills the fact that we have the fastest moving top(5sec.).
thanks
edib z

i bought it from topsonline-ez-on 00-01 with modification kit

Has anyone had the rear glass part to separate from the rest of the top on the right and left side robbins upgrade? I had mine replace in June 07 and the rear bar got bent. The guy at the shop the top would not go all the way down and when they finally got it to the bar bent. We straightened it out but everytime I put the top down now it bends. sux

www.topsonline.com They're a sponsor on this forum as well.

If you're interested in some color, cabrioworld.com has a variety as well.

The rear most straps pull the last bow back into position to give the top it's support above the glass. The straps with the elastic before the last bow (on the robbins install) help to pull the last bow in when the top is closing.

Sounds like the shop didn't do something correctly. Either that, or Robbin's made an error on their part which I would wager has the lower probability of happening.

Can you take a picture of the bar and how it's bent? It would probably be easier to figure out what's wrong in this case with a picture.

Here are some pics of the bar and where the top is coming apart on both side of the rear glass.
