ricks2k.com questions and concerns
I have never had any problem with Rick's - found Rick and Jeff very helpful in the past, and always very quick and excellent service, not to mention the quality of products too
And that is shipping to the UK
Keep up the good work guys

yeah, Rick's botched my order too.
last month, i grabbed a console cover off the 'back page' and a pearl magnum voodoo knob.
James let me know that the knobs were on back order, but that they would be in soon.
i got my full order about 2 weeks & 3 days after i made the order,
and it was delivered to me 2 days ahead of their promised delivery date.
then a couple days later got another identical console cover via FedEx a couple days later.
James was patient and worked w/ me on getting the 2nd cover back to them, suffering through my week or two of delays in shipping b/c of my work schedule...
all in all - i was very very pleased with their great service even if my order was botched...
if anything -- their service and patience were awesome, even when my return service wasn't.
another one for Rick's side.

I ordered badges a couple months ago and got em within a week. I also recently placed an order for a pearl voodoo then saw the group buy for the new black ones and wrote rick/james the very next day asking about a switch. I received a reply email within 2 days and was told the switch between the knobs would be no problem. Communication has been great, it seems very strange to me how some people are having such problems when all my interactions with Rick's has been great.
I can understand why some of you are upset.....but just to help to give you piece of mind....I have place 3 orders with Ricks and all came through perfectly....my Voodoo knob took about a month but I expected it to due to the high demand....so hang in there....they have a good reputation and I'm sure that they will do what it takes to keep it that way....my .02
I got an e-mail confirmation today saying that a package was shipped today and I should have it in a couple of days. Like I said, I guess I need to be patient. I should have never doubted them.

I'm ready to order my 4.77 gears. But all the horror stories I've been hearing about Rick's service is making me think twice.
I was concerned about placing my CC info and not receiving my order for 3 months so I shot an E-mail over to Rick asking how long delivery of the 4.77's should take and if I place my order today how long can I expect to receive it.
This was over a Month and a half ago and I've heard NOTHING back. I guess that's answers my question on Rick's service. I'll just wait for someone local to sell their gears or just go buy them from my local Mazda dealer for $300 bucks.
If I can

these threads always seem to pop up, and so do the same old ricks2k supporters. i've placed orders with rick, and will agree that he is an honest guy and will never cheat you. i will also agree that this is not his first job, and that he likely is slammed for time. but the bottom line for me is .... i have never had a simple or timely transaction with him, and the constant 'where is rick' threads that keep appearing suggests to me that i'm not the only one.
i know there are many reasons why this is the case, and i am still very glad that rick and his associates have dedicated so much time to our community, and hope that these threads will not discourage them, but rather get them to act in some way. i would suggest a big sentance on their site that says 'this may take awhile for you to get!' ... because very often that is the case (their fault or not.)
i personally am unlikely to order from them again until something consistently improves. waiting for 2-3 months for sidemarkers does not appeal to me one bit. 'you will get them ... but it make take awhile.'

Another voice. I, too am relatively new to ordering from Rick's, but so far my experience has been very good. Goods received between two and ten days after order.
One exception to that has been the Wool mats - which take 3-4 weeks (have a look, it even sez that on their web site). And my inquiry to them about delivery date on them was answered quickly.
I did have a small quality problem with an engraved shifter - but that was resolved extremely quickly, and with no hesitation.
All in all, a very satisfied sustomer.
