is there patch kit that i can buy or do i have to replace the whole thing?

I took my car to a local interior shop and they patched the roof for me. Try that!

Because of the cost of a new top, try the patch idea.
Take your car to a automobile trim shop and ask if thay can patch it for you. It might require two patches to keep symmatry of both sides.
You could also try a boat repair facility.

It cost me $30, and they did a great job too, but the right way to fix it is replacing the roof since its gonna need it either way cause as you use the roof the patch usually won't hold up!

I just got mine replaced last week by the dealership 100% for free under warranty.
I also know several people got it replaced even after warranty for free due to premature wear and tear. But it depends on how the tear happened or ripped.
