I saw this mod before on a Miata. Someone also mentioned that it's on the wrong side of the car. Guess there isn't room on the side it should be on.

Yeah, but push that START button in the Miata and floor it. What you have is 9000-7000=2000 rpm short! Somebody better get busy and install the 9000 Tach, extra 2000 rpm, and VTEC vrooom - that's where the big money is!

I installed a red start button back in 1978 on my VW kit car--the Amante GT (sort of looked like a 904 Porsche with massive neg camber...depending on how much you squinted). Good learning experience...sold me off kit cars forever! Man, I certainly don't miss that air-cooled, flat-4, glass pac whine!
