Default Robbins Top

Even though I feel my original softtop is in decent shape with a couple of small tears and pinholes that I could probably repair, my wife talked me into getting a new top for my birthday. After researching and weighing the options, I went with what seems to be the large majority opinion here - Robbins Stayfast Cloth with heated window. I was trying to order from topsonline but there isn't really a place to enter anything about S2ki for the free shipping so I called. Had to keep calling because 1 - nobody would answer and 2 - their Voicemail is full so they must be pretty busy. Finally got the operator to pick up after a few failed attempts and he took my order and mentioned S2ki for free shipping with no problem at all. He said that Robbins is behind so interested to see when it gets shipped. He said maybe this week or next week depending on the shipments they get in from Robbins.

So I have a couple places in mind to get the top installed - I'd rather not have to go too far to get it done in case there's a problem and I have to return. Anyone know of a reputable shop or installer in the Winston Salem, Greensboro, High Point area that installs S2000 softtops on a fairly regular basis? The one shop local to me the guy said they've done about a dozen, I just want to check with the S2k community to see if there might be other options.

Thanks!

Bumping for interest! I'm in the Charlotte area and will likely replace the top in the coming year, same situation as you. I'm taking my S2000 to AsiaWorks here in Charlotte for the 75k maintenance and then some, have heard really good things about them and will ask if they do tops.

Yeah we have a Honda specialist shop here that I might talk to and see what they have to say and how much they charge. Was just curious if the community knew of anyone in particular.

Try posting in your local sub forum.

Personally, for something like this I would rather have someone that specializes in soft tops vs someone that specializes in Hondas.

How many soft tops has a Honda specialist done? To what extent is extensive Honda service experience relevant to doing a soft top?

I know of GT Imports - a Honda specialist garage here and figure they may have installed tops as well. Point taken and have posted in Carolinas sub forum and will see what happens.
