rpm
As a new S2000 owner and one that is used to the older, low tech, low revving corvette 350, I'd like to know what other owners feel is a suitable rpm range to maintain in city/suburban areas where speed limits vary from 30 to 50 mph. I don't want the engine screaming like an F1 through residential neighborhoods, but, more importantly, I don't want to lug it either. Any suggestions?
Drive where it feels comfortable for you -- it doesn't matter to the car. If you just want to tool around and have it be quiet and feel like a Civic, keep it btw 2K and 4.5K. A little more spice: 3K-6K. Canyon carving: VTEC all the way, baby!
I find I've been driving in a higher and higher range since I owned the car (3 yrs now). These days I tool around between 4 and 7K.
Give me another 3 years and it'll never get below VTEC.

I have to rev mine.... its like crack or heroine... I cant get enough. Especially with the top down, under a bridge or in a tunnel.... 9000 RPM echoes alone are worth the purchase price of the car.
Also, in traffic, it sounds cool when the sound echoes off the other cars. And, its even more fun with an audience....
I think I need help.....
