RSX vs S2000?
ugghh...not here too.
this dyno plot is total BS unless it's a modded RSX. do you honestly think such an underrated output could have been kept secret this long (the car's been in circulation since last spring)?!
informed sources rate the RSX at about 160 to the wheels and there are plenty-o-dyno plots to substantiate that figure.
however, i have heard these cars respond well to bolt-ons as they seem to be slightly "detuned" from the factory.

Keep in mind that since it's FF, there should be less drivetrain losses, but 185 still seems high. Also, even if that was a bone stock dyno, it wouldn't keep up with the S2000...RWD gives better launches.

I believe a 165 hp plot has been posted somewhere. Just for reference, the old base Prelude would typically dyno around 165 hp, +/- when it was rated at 195 hp. Never saw a plot when they changed the rating to 200 hp. Also, the Integra Type-R would dyno 160-165, but it had a limited slip which adds some mass and friction in the drivetrain. Still a loss of around 30 hp. In general, 25-30 hp is a pretty typical loss for a decent manual FWD drivetrain that can handle these power levels (D series Civics lose closer to 15-20 hp, but their trannies are lighter/weaker), so 170-175 would not surprise me for the RSX-S.
No worries though, the RSX is not any better equipped to produce maximum power than our F20Cs are. Better midrange perhaps. But our bigger bore, shorter stroke and bigger valves position the F20C well to be Honda's reigning 2.0 liter champ. If anything, the onset of the RSX may help speed development of F20C parts since the engines are so similar.

You have GOT to be kiddin me... Yes the RSX has 200 HP when you get the Type S.. but thats VTEC Prelude territory, doenst even compare to the S2K...
Obviously you have never been in the S2K... If you had this post wouldnt exist

As much as like honda/acura cars and the interior cues of the RSX similar to the S2000; if I were in the market for a "sporty" car (which it is). I wouldn't buy it.
The price is within a stones throw from the beloved Subaru WRX which gives you AWD, 4 doors, more power and a turbo you can tinker with.

Are you buying a dyno chart or a car? The RSX is nice and a lot of bang for the buck, but even if its faster:
- it's FWD
- no convertible
- much more generic styling
- much sloppier handling
Acura couldn't make the RSX fast enough to make me trade in my S2K!
