too bad rotary's only last 8 miles.

 

u should get an s2000 or an rx7 if u want the turbo application in the end, i had a 7 and its a ton of money to keep running , im sure same goes with a turbo rx8, the more hp the less engine life with rotary

 

Did you ask this on the RX8 forums too? Which car did they pick? When I went car shopping this past summer, the RX8 was on my list too, but I *hate* the body style. Shame too, cause I really liked the RX7 body. My biggest deciding factor was curb weight/hp. For the price you can't do better in power to weight ratio. (Considering the Evo wasn't on my list )

 

When I initally saw that Mazda was releasing the RX8 I was excited until I saw the specs.

 

i believe anything that people drive slow has good handling

 

I think RX8 is a pile of steaming crap compared to a RX7. I was really dissapointed. Oh, they even come in automatics so any highschool girl can drive one

 

 

RX7s came with automatics too.
And I fail to see how it is a 'let down' as it not the successor to the RX7 and mazda has stated that many many times.

 

If its not a successor of RX7, why did they name it RX? Not SR8(slow rotary 8), or TB8(ticking bomb 8), or maybe SPG8(sh*t per gallon 8).....


I actually can care less, but a friend of mine drives one and I love giving him sh*t. Its friday and I am bored.
