I think RX8 is a pile of steaming crap compared to a RX7. I was really dissapointed. Oh, they even come in automatics so any highschool girl can drive one

tired of holding this sign. rx-7s came in automatic as well, including the FDs.

you know the rx line of vehicles was not a bunch of two door sports cars...there was a pickup (repu), compact (rx-2) and the obligatory ugly 70's 2 door coupe rx-3. the rx-8 is simply mazda's latest rotary vehicle...not trying to compete with the rx-7...it's in a totally different marketplace with a family fun sports coupe.

the car drives well and i really like it but the reliability is not there for me to plunk down 25k of my money.

IMO, the RX8 is a fun little car to own.
I didn't know that it had reliability issue, tho.
The stylings are pretty nice, too.
If that car had an inline-6 in it, I'd be all over it.

Im willing to bet that 99%of the people posting in this thread have never owned an RX7 or an RX8.

I'd also bet 95% of the people posting in this thread have never even driven either...

haven't owned but have drove both...again, scared of the reliability. some of this has to do with the fact that the cars are easily modded and as someone else mentioned you throw more power to these cars and things tend to break. it's very difficult to find an unmolested FD with original equipment any more. i'm thinking the values are going to increase dramatically in the next ten years or so.
