In short, yes, you can get the Icelink cables to reach the secret compartment. however doing so places the Icelink module right on the transmission. IMO this was the cause of both of my failures - overheating.

If anyone is interested in buying a real neo ion adaptor, I have one for sale. I bought it this summer and used it for about a week before I decided to replace the headunit with and Alpine deck and ipod connector. The neo ion works great and I will sell for 175. Its basically brand new and I have the boxes and paperwork to go with it. PM me if you are interested.
