The M Coupe is 2.5 times stiffer than the M Roadster, giving one an indication of how stiff the BMW roadster is
.
By the way I own both (S2K/BMW) my Bimmer isn't a M though just a 325is Coupe (SO SLOW).

I'm terribly sorry if I offended you and I hope you'll forgive my faux pas........from the (apparent) intent of your post, I was just trying to have a little fun (We do that around here from time to time!)
If as you say, your post was the result of the end of a long 13 hour day, then that explains it.....because what I 'wred' was not even close to high school english.
The reason for my error is that I honestly thought you were sarcastically mocking the quality of 'inglis' on the other forum because what was to be found there was so child-like, it could have only been written by 5 year olds (hence my initial post). But from your response (and not knowing you), it appears not!

You guys got to back me up with the S2000. The are belittling the S2000 being a crap car and that the BMW is the best automobile. And they don't believe that a supercharged (340hp supercharged) S2000 can't compete with M-series. Come on guys show them what we are made of. Show these people, what Japanese enigneering is about. They believe a 3-series can beat a S2000.

when i first saw the M coupe, i hated it... the design is not for the faint of heart.
but it definitely grew on me, it's one of those cars that you HAVE to see in person to appreciate.
and yes, the new one will be FAST as hell... the european M coupe with the euro e36 M3 motor (321hp) did 0-60mph in 4.3s!

I own both a 2001 S2k and a 99 M coupe (and an ITR and a few other fun automobiles).
Call it what you want my 99 M coupe is hands down faster than the s2k, both on the street and at the track it is the more capable car -- it should be for the extra 10 grand.
Both are fun, both have strengths and weaknesses -- so many little people here with frail egos who need to insult ...
