Having drived both on a regular basis! (and owning a s2000)
I would say go with the 350Z it is much more comfertable to drive, the stereo is way better, sounds better, handles better, and has more of a safe feel
The s2k is faster, and more fun to drive if your cruising on the highway, but as a regular driver I would take teh 350Z however my 01 s2000 is much less then a 04 three fiddy!!
hope that helps!! ask me anythin else if u want?

350Z with hard top looks good
350Z with drop top looks like azzzz
IMHO
but you are not going to get an un-biased answer here in this forum. I personally like the S better having driven both.

I prefer the looks of the 350z coupe over the roadster. To me, the 350z roadster reminds me of the Lexus SC430.
But before I purchased my S2000, I was considering the 350z. To me, the 350 would probably be a more comfortable daily driver, but the S2000 had a higher "fun to drive" factor.

I had a 350Z until I crashed it in the rain. So I bought the S2000...many of the replies in this string are a bit biased (duh). I was really surprised how much less of a kick the S2000 had. 350Z is a muscle car, when you step on the gas, it really goes. I considered the roadster, but not for the money and the hideous look. If you want power, get a Z. If you want fun and a convertible, get the S2000. Living in Southern CA, I love driving on the freeway with the top down...

Obviously this is a place where you are going to get S2000 owners telling you they like their car. However, your question reminded me of an article I read in a car mag a while back, and it might be more helpful to you. The article is on-line:

In any event. My $.02 -- the 350Z is presently a "newer" car and more of a head turner at the moment, whereas the S2000 is a better car for the money. I just bought a new 05 S2000, and every time I drive it I tell myself it was the best car decision I have ever made. I spent a year deciding what roadster to buy, and I doubt very much that I will ever have second thoughts about my choice.

I think some one said the 350z looked like a frog taking a crap that stuck out in my mind when we were thinking about the 350z. We got the s2k over the 350z 6 weeks ago. Was a better deal all around.
