When I had my windshield replaced recently I was told no warranty because the top of the channel where the class goes is rusted. I get new glass once a year because of pitting.

i think that for the most part the car is too new to start having rust issues. the only way i can think that would accelerate corrosion would be living by the ocean.
I live by the sea but I wash the car every week. That should provide enough protection, right?

honda rust is caused by water/snow/salt getting caught in the rubber molding on the wheel wells on the rear quarter panels. anyone with a honda should remove them. the water/snow/salt gets trapped and cant escape, so it causes rust. i bet if you go outside right now and remove one, you will see all the crap that is trapped inside. i have removed them from all of mine, parents and sisters honda.

My wife's '88 Accord took 11 years to show any rust. When it did, it was under the wheel well moldings. If I had removed those when the car was new, it would have held up a few more years. I live in a heavy salt use area.

The bolt holes that hold the front bumper on are rusted on my car. I have already removed the rear fender rubber grommets as I have heard this was a problem on other hondas.

ehh its rumored that the gromets around the rear fender wells/lips will collect moisture and dirt and what not hence causing rust to form more quickly
