S2000 Common Rust areas?
ok here is a quick paintshop photo i did.
notice the red around the rear wheel well. that is where this piece of black rubber weather stripping/grommet/or whatever else you want to call it is located.
it simply pulls off.

Ive found rust on a few where the rear bumper meets the quarter panel. Rocks/gravel get stuck between the two and scratch off the paint causing rust. Just pop off the two screws and take a peek...you may be horified!!!
See I knew these Honduhs rust!!!
I want pics people!!! I WANT PICSSSSSSSSSS haha
When I go buy another one I want to know where to look for when it comes to rust.
pretty please with an S emblem on top :-)

But wouldn't removing the molding/rubber thing make the metal prone to chips? Or is it plastic under that? Cuz I was thinking if you expose the paint, then that area would just chip and rust anyway
Thanks
Everyone should check the top lip of the inside of their trunk lid. Very easy to see on my Sebring. I'm not calling it rust just yet but it appears that it will eventually be rust if not routinely mointained. This was on my brand new car so everyone needs to be aware of this (unless I'm the only one).
I've been putting a very light coat of white lube on the top leading edge every couple of weeks or so.
