S2000 as a daily driver??
I will be buying some type of sport coupe or roadster this fall and have about three cars I am thinking about. The 350Z or Inifiniti G35 coupe are at the top of the list at the moment, but after test driving a new Accord last night I had a chance to see an S2000. On further review I see it holds its' value very well but looks a bit edgy. Thats not a bad thing but it may get me in trouble. Wonder if any of you could enlighten me on the daily driving of an S2000. I typically drive about 70% freeway and love to fly around freeway interchanges. TIA
The S is one hell of a machine. If you wan't to have fun while driving, then this is the car for you. It's like a precision instrument and will give you tremendous amounts of pleasure.

I use my s2000 as a daily driver. I must say it is not a car for all. If you are doing lots of highway driving, be prepared for noise levels you may not be used to. The Z/G35C both seem to be more sports touring cars rather than pure sport as the s2000 is. The s2000 is also a convertible. Dont know if you would enjoy crusing the highway with the top down. Just my two cents.
The car is an absolute blast and fine as a daily driver BUT - if you're not into racing and all the noise and lack of practicality that comes with owning a purpose-built sports car, you may be happier with the G35. It'll be a lot more comfortable and quiet on the freeway, it's got more room for a good stereo, etc. The S2000 is more like a 4-wheeled motorcycle.

i have two cars, my accord is basically my daily driver and the s2k is the fun car. if i wanted to, i think the s2k is comfortable enough to be a daily driver. sometimes it gets annoying shifting gears in heavy traffic(thats where my auto accord comes into play).
I'm an S2K daily driver. 90% HWY. 56 miles one way. 3 interchanges each way.
I've had manual trans cars since my first car (Spitfire) back in '76. The S has the get up ya need to get through those nasty backups, with care, of course.
