daily driver It makes sitting in a traffic jam fun, and it only get better from there. It's like driving a scalpel.

The s2000 is my faithful steed.

50,700 miles in two years ... I guess you could say I like driving my S

Daily driver and only car. My Civic that I had before getting the S was supposed to be my beater. After two months of neglect and non-driving, I eventually gave it to my sister. That was 46,000 or so miles ago

Sun, rain, thunderstorm, doesn't matter. I didn't drive it yesterday only because Austin was covered in ice (and I have the anti-ice OEM S02s on). The streets melted enough today to get into work, shedding ice from the car as I drove. Ironically it was 60 degrees and top-down weather just 3 days earlier.

I just bought my (used) s2k in August and LOVED it as a daily driver while the warm weather was around. Now I feel like I am being punished for not buying something practical with all of this DAMN snow and miserable cold weather (more than I can ever remember in MD). I can't even get out of the neighborhood - Maybe I just need some good winter tires. I have to keep reminding myself that spring will be here soon!

You'll be fine in AZ ~

At long last, I have an S as a daily driver!

I've had an Accord for the last 7-1/2 years, and shared an S2000 with my husband for the last 1-1/2 years. From the time I saw the S, I knew I wanted that to be my next car. Just going to the store is such a treat!!

Some of the observations above are correct, if you're not into a purpose-built roadster that rewards someone who loves to , one of the other choices may be better. But if you love to and love responsive cars ... yes, this is it!

As for STwoK's comment about the S not cooling down as fast in a hot climate with the A/C, I call on that one. The interior is very snug - with the top up, you can get the inside cooled off pronto ... and likewise during the winter, it only takes a few minutes for the heat to completely warm up the interior.

Good luck on your decision!

All three cars are orgasmic, the question is how much room do you want inside???

My S is the daily driver. I don't have a second car. But honestly......

If I had an accord right next to the S, I would never drive it the stinkin' accord. Outside of snow, the S is just toooooo fun to drive!

Having owned a Z and now an S2K, I think the Z makes a pretty good daily driver. Definitely much more GT than sports car. The ride is definitely more accomodating, quieter inside, more spacious, VCD/TCS sometimes help, plus the torque all over the powerband is nice around town or when you think your car is in first but you actually start off in third And it's a car that is easy to drive fast. It made a lovely daily driver for me for the better part of a year (except when there was snow on the ground).

On the other hand, the fuel economy wasn't so hot. I was down to 20.5MPG just before I sold it. With the S2K I'm getting closer to 30. And for it's size, it could've been a 2+2 and had a bigger trunk.

They're both awesome cars, with their own merits, and both are actually really good daily drivers for performance cars.

My S2K will be my daily driver ('04 on the way ).
After having smaller and less practical cars before (Bertone X1/9 ), this car will be almost luxurious.
When the G35 Coupe first came out I was seriously considering that instead of the S (just for a few weeks, then I came back to my senses) , but now that I see them all over the road, I'm glad I will have a more unique vehicle (and more fun too!!)

I am trading in my 03 CL-S, 6-speed on an 04 S2K. My coworkers rib me that I'm going through mid-life crisis (I'm 38???).

In reviewing what usually travels in my car 99% of the time, (laptop, cell phone, book-bag for night classes, me) the S2K will be perfect. In the 14 months I've owned the CL, I've only been in the back seat a half dozen times to clean the glass and vacuum.

I drive 5.7 miles each way to work and usually come home for lunch. I think the S2K will be great for this as well as make the perfect weekend car.

(My wife does own an Accord for trips to the mall.)

BTW: The CL (anthracite, 11K miles, in Houston) is for sale and will be available around the end of October when the S2K arrives. PM me if seriously interested.
