Am I the only one who thinks "Ya, but it has no torque" argument is getting old?

I can't believe I read all the messages.... torque this...torque that...It's obvious that many of the posters have never driven an S2000.

"The torque level is insignificant here, it's where the torque is that matters. The fact that the torque peak for the engine is at 7500rpm makes driveability during normal driving less than adequate. There have been many stories concerning S2000 owners stalling constantly when in stop and go traffic. The S2000 is still a great car, I wish I had one, but only for times on weekends when I felt I needed to drive like a maniac."

hahaha who stalled and posted?!?!?

Why bother with the C&D board. I looked at that thread its a bunch of 'murrican car guys. Some idiot said he wanted a 10-11 second car for the street. What a bone head. A 10-11 second car would most likely be incredibly un-streetable.

Regardless, most of those guys are jealous because they bought a GM F-body, which is heavy, looks like crap, is made like crap, technologically challenged, and loses half its value when you drive it off the lot. If the F-body is so wonderful, why is this the last year they are making it (exc. vettes)??? Christ GM can't even make the interior on their premier car, the Vetter, look any different from a $20k Chevy Impala.

As for the S2000 stalling in traffic thats horseshit. Honda wouldn't put out a product if it wasn't streetable. Has anyone here had that problem?

haha that last post is funny KeithD. I totally agree with you, as for the S2000 stalling in traffic everyone here knows thats bs, i can't believe people that don't own an S2000 are telling a whole car board that the S2000 stalls in traffic, talk about being insecure with their f-body . I hope you straightened those punks out

Anybody know 0-60 and 1/4 mile times on the vert vesion of the Z28. We need to compare comparable cars afterall. I do know that it retails for $29k only slightly lower than our car.

I think the Z28 was 5.3 or 5.8 to 60 and a 14.3 quarter... in C&D. Don't remember and its not worth my time to find out.

I didn't even feel like posting on that C&D board because the people were some damn dumb.
