I have owned a number of sportscars and the S2000 fit what I wanted the most when I bought it. The main thing for me at the time was having a fun car to drive that looked like it would be the best car for it's SCCA stock class. It was and I was very happy with it. Even though I haven't owned the car for 9 months I still miss it. In fact I'll be visiting with the car and the new owner of it in the morning.

In the minority here I love the car but I'd have liked more trimmings in the interior. I understand that wasn't the concept for this car, so I accept it, but I would have liked a bell or a whistle or two in the cockpit .

I admit the styling of the BMW or Audi is more my taste, but they were out of my price range and even if I was willing to stretch the budget, I was uncomfortable paying that kind of money for cars that don't have the reliability that Hondas generally do (especially that beautiful Audi TT....sigh).

This is my first convertible and I'm loving it when I go topless but (dont flame me please..lol) a removable top like the Vette's have would have been my preference. I LOVE the look of this car with the top down, but like all ragtops, I don't get excited about the look with the top up. A removable top would be the best compromise in my opinion.

Lastly, I hate the digital display Its probably the only thing that I really wish was different. I think digital is cheesy and I prefer to see the needles spin on analog gauges, but that's just me. It wasn't a big enough factor to over-ride my fascination with the car, so I bought it.

I know some guys will be tempted to flame me for buying the car if I don't think its "perfect" but I'm being honest! I love the look of the car, the way it handles and the looks I get when the top is down

I do love the car

i feel this car is exactly what i was looking for.

i wanted something rear wheel drive, convertable, and best of all reliabilty of a honda. the only other car i would move up to would be an NSX-t but thats doubt full for a few years. but untill then the S has become part of my family with me theres a feeling when i look at it that never grows old.

I have been a Honda fan since my 86 Accord !
I loved the fit and finish on Honda cars.

Whenever I worked on one everything always fit back together perfectly unlike some american cars that were using self tap screws in many places as if they were built on the fly.

Many times I'd have to find an ice pick to find the screw holes when re- assembling.

I then started getting into RX-7s because of the Rear wheel drive and high revving rotary motor .

When I heard Honda had a rear wheel drive sports car besides the expensive NSX coming out I salivated like Pavlov's dogs.

Utilitarian interior -I would have preferred analog gauges but those big red LEDs in my face remind me I am over the speed limit , AGAIN.

X- FRAME that gave it the rigid Handling that is better than a hard top made it the car for me . The Hot looks and high revving engine helped the decision as well as the start button.

Price gouging kept it out of my clutches for a couple of years.

I have had it for 2 years now and am still absolutely thrilled .

It is not a stepping stone.

It is my ultimate car for the long Haul.

I'd love more power, and more torque down-low, but I've never driven a car that just drives so damn NICE. I mean, everything is great... the shifter is the best I've ever used (and I've driven the Z06, and a brand new 911 Carrera)... the car brakes pretty good, handles as good as just about anything on the road, and it looks sexy as hell.

the s2k is my first sports car, and i absolutely love it. it looks BEAUTIFUL in all angles, has an excellent engine and superb handling. in the future when i get a better paying job, ill probably step up to the nsx or whatever sport/super car honda will be offering in the future. whatever it is, it will most likely be japanese. in the mean time, i have lots of fun-filled years to come and will master driving the s2k without causing any accidents .

Definitely Choice B. The S2000 is a wonderful car but I could find much better with the right amount of money.

Completely satisfied? No, I wouldn't go that far. I really, really, really wish I had an adjustable steering wheel and I wish I didn't have to drive past three closer Honda dealers just to get decent service but... other than that I still love my car.

I researched the crap out of it before buying my 2001 and after countless test drives, interviews with owners, and internet research hours the only other car that I seriously considered was the Boxster S. Truth be told, liked the P-car more but the cost premium just isn't justified.

Today, I'm on my second S and while I cam this close to getting a 1994 NSX instead (and sometimes I wonder if I made the right decision) I still believe that there isn't a new car on the market that I would rather have for anywhere near the price point.

As much as I respect the new Z, the styling and lack of visibility from the cockpit leave me cold.

The EVO is just plain FUGLY and no matter how fast it is, you can't drop the top (as retarded as it is, that's important to me).

The RX-8 that I flogged at Laguna Seca a few months ago left me uninspired. Granted it was a pre-production right hand drive model but it just didn't sing to me.

I'm anxious to drive the new STi but again, I have a thing for 'verts.

So... I'll continue to love my S.

For the money, yes. When the S was introduced, I thought it was so neat. I saw one in a show room all roped off. I thought the all digital and start button was some of the greatest things about the car.

At that time, it was around $40,000 with the dealer markup, and that was way too much. After driving around a '00 Monte Carlo, I missed the manual transmission and the sporty look.

I was about to purchase a BMW 330ic, thinking the S was still rare, since I'd only seen less than 5 in the past few years, I thought I'd give it a shot, then found the site, test drove one, and the rest is history.

It has it's problems, yes, but what car in the category doesn't?

I have been in love with the S2000 since it was the SSM concept back in 98 and had those square looking rollbars and the lights in the bumper.

Buying this car was a dream come true for me. It was the car that I wanted for 4 years. I looked at a used C5 and Boxster, but I didn't trust the reliability of those cars.

As far as me wanting more out of my car. That's just human nature. I've had some beautiful women, but that did't stop me from wanting more.
