S2000 Engine/Warranty Issue

If you doubt the "under warranty", I have worked as a parts manager for 20 years. You would be suprised what I have seen. I work at The BMW Store in Cincinnati, one of our service advisors is married to the service manager at Wyler Honda. He told me personally of the two he did. One belonged to a kid that finally admitted he went down 3 gears instead of 1 and the other belonged to Ford Motor Company who was testing a car for research.

Luciano, I can assure you that this owner's experience (whatever it is/was) is atypical.

Just want to let you know I am going through almost the exact same scenario as you here in San Diego. I have spoke to AHC several times and they have been down right rude. I own two Hondas, an Accord and the S2000. I too am ready to take legal action. Please contact me, I'd like to hear about your experience in more detail.
i know just how you feel. i am having the exact same problem. my 02 has been sitting at the dealership for 35 days. the good news is you can go thru the better business bureau arbitration; which is only binding to honda. then you can go to arbitration and then go to jury trial under lemon law. i have owned every sports car made and i believe honda has made a fragile engine. they shouldnt brag about how high it revs , and then try and blame comsumers when the engine fails. i have found sooooooooo many cases just like ours; several in my home town , which is strange on such a limited edition car.
Wow, what a coincidence, eleki-sd-Calif. and su701, from two different parts of the country join the board within hours of eachother and both have exactly the same problem as Fast Miami who joined 3 days ago and hasn't answered any of the questions asked on this thread!
Lets talk about "bent pistons" what are those? I've seen bent rods, bent valves and even a bent crank shaft, but bent pistons? Pistons melt, crack, split, scuff etc but how do they bend? Maybe some of you long time S2000 owners can post a picture of a bent piston so I can see my first one.
Before the two "new" bent piston owners joined in, I was going to offer the following:
Maybe what he means is he has bent valves which hit his pistons, or cracked pistons and bent valves. And this could have happened at a stop light, even at idle, if he had a defective timming chain that broke, (or some other defective part of the cam drive system) allowing the valves to hit the pistons before the engine "just stalled" or died or whatever he said. I was going to ask if the timming chain was broken and tell him to have it examined, but now I think this is a bunch of BS!
