Is S2000 fastest 4 cyc in world?
Great answers, perhaps I should clarify what fast could mean or typically means unless you are on a race track together.
1. 0-60 time
2. 1/4 mi time
3. Salom speed
Wouldn't this make the S2000 the fastest stock 4 cylinder (non-turbo) auto currently in production in the world today?

The quick vs. fast thing is entirely subjective. See I think you're backwards. I think the car is quick, but not fast.
160 is a very respectable top speed, but there are lots of faster cars.
However in the handling department, it is very nimble, and able to keep ahead of some cars that may be "faster" overall.

Well handling is a third element and it's this cars strongest suite.
160 is pretty fast for a 4 cylinder and there arn't many faster, but is 13.9 in a quarter quick? I agree the stooks advantage is being able to brake late and corner hard and thus maintain speed. My post said 1/4 miles and 0-60's represent "quick" not "fast".
If a 200 mph car could only do a 15 second quarter it would still be fast, just not quick.

Let's not confuse "quick" and "fast". For a 4 cylinder the S2K is fast (160 with a speed limiter, 185 without), but it's not quick, meaning it doesn't get there at an astounding rate. Items 1 and 2 above are about quick, not fast, and item 3 is about handling.
185 mph is just BS. The modena has 400 HP and top speed is "supposedly" (meaning perfect condition, etc) 189mph. I doubt the S2000 has better aerodynamics than the Modena.
Anyhow, a stock S2000 shouldn't have a top speed of more than 155 mph. With or without limiter.
