S2000 fear factor
I actually like SD traffic more than LA traffic. I found out I have to be more aggressive in LA to lane change than in SD
back in SD: Signal first then lane change
in LA: lane change while signaling cause when I signal first, "Oh no you're not getting in front of me"

I get misbehaved more often when I am driving the S or riding the bike. And surprisingly, it's not the random BMW or the Porsche that wants to race me. It's always an idiot in an F150 or an Escalade... What are they thinking?
Once a truck tried to race me when I was riding a Honda 919 !?!?! I pitied the guy and let him pass. Then I couldn't resist and caught up, and moved forward and backward (relative to him) while he was on full throttle...

I get it sometimes.
I usually have my headlights on all the time by habit and I have a CR lip so it looks "tough" in a rear view - but I attribute it more to my driving. I drive quickly, but courteously. I signal far in advance, don't weave in and out of traffic, keep a safe following distance... the basics... but my only rule of thumb is if someone is coming up in the left lane and you can get over, let them pass. I have no problem flashing high beams to let them know Im coming.. most take to it fine but of course you always get some douchetard in a truck or Buick that feels the need to police Americas byways by pacing some ass doing 5 under the speed limit.

It's painful here in Utah driving the S. It is well documented that the persona of driving here is off from the norm. I can be driving and pass someone doing 5 under the speed limit and myself doing about 3 over. However as you come along side them they turn it into a "Oh no you didn't" attitude and suddenly speed up to 5 over for no apparent reason other than you can not beat them. Makes no sence but it happens daily with a majority of the drivers here.
The *juvys* tend to vary in age no matter where you go. Just because someone isnt driving a ricer dosent mean they wont try to race you anyways.

I tend to be more cautious in my s2000, here in San Diego people have no sense of respect or driving etiquette. I almost get run into or off the road at least once a day.
I almost got ran over by an idiot in a MB M series SUV 2 days ago on the 8 freeway. No time to do anything but react. No time to even look to make sure there was nobody in the lane to my right. I was thankful the lane was clear. I then rolled up to her mouthing "WTF?" and she had the most puzzled look on her...
