My S2000 makes a loud noise when in 2nd gear and accelerating, noise is hard to describe but sounds similar to thrust bearing noise I have experienced in other cars.

Honda say it's normal - I beg to differ, any comments ?

Lots of talk on this one. See 2000 TSB 054 and do a search on "rattle".

I have it too, but when cruising at steady rate of speed. 01'

 

I've got the same problem too - did anyone find a suitable solution to this? - its not a good response by Honda if they're saying that's normal.

The last thing you expect in a $70,000 car is a rattle under accel and decel.
