Not likely. As you see, I live in West Chester, too. When I got mine, in March of 2000, it was quite a while before I saw another one one the road. Now, I see them all of the time. Couple of silvers, couple of other reds like mine, and at least 1 black and one white in the area. Probably a lot more. But it may well be that you are the only person that they actually know who has one.

26 and also living wit da g-friend. Man I know da looks! Take them all as compliments as I do. And we all bought this car knowing envy was a plus in our book. If we didn't we wouldn't be driving a the S2K. Call me egotistical but I thrive on the envy, not loose sleep over it

I really hear you.........but see this is what I think it is......

The M3 is a beautiful performance car (looks almost like any other 3 series, to the average eye that is).

The Boxter is good looking performance car too (looks like a Porsche though)

and so forth with other similar performance cars.........

The S 2000 is a gorgous performance car, and looks like NOTHING else. Attention is part of the package.

She looks like a 50k+ car, she performs like one too.

Screw the jealousy, enjoy your car.

Don't ever apologize for being successful. Most people who express jealousy over what you have achieved would give their left testicle/ovary to have what you have, but evidently they weren't willing to pay the price.

I think this has a lot to do with the fact that you're young -- and perhaps the area that you live in. Many people have a problem with young men who are apparently successful. I want through this when I was 23 and driving a new E-type. Little did people know that I was putting every spare penny into the thing and that I was totally broke

Now that I'm older, I get nothing but compliments and inquisitive questions, but very few signs of envy. So just grin and bear it. For better or worse, what you're experiencing is just human nature.

I'm twenty years old, have a full roster of classes, work forty hours a week and paid for every nut, bolt and washer in my S2!! But no matter how hard I try to avoid it, I get hated on daily. When I showed up @ work with it my boss accused me of stealing. Bluck him! I'm sure I won't be getting a raise this year.

Yep..23 year old here still living at home, working both a full time and a part time job with over 60 hours a week. Do I like working? NO! Do I work to pay for my S2K? HELL YES and it's worth it. Right..and about all those silly people asking those overly redundant questions.....I wish they would stop asking me...
"Did you purchase or lease it?"

What the heck does that have to do with anything?

Hey for one thing, be glad you're driving an S2000. I'm still 16 without a car (though hopefully I'll have a Civic soon). Be proud of where you are cause sure as hell, I'm not gonna have 53 grand Canadian when I turn 20 Well even iwth 40 hours a week, I probably lose half my paycheck to the government *sigh*

Your car is not cheap. You guys have good work ethics. for the person that is in school fulltime and working 40 hours a week to pay for the car....you are a brave person! Just keep in mind that everything is relative. Remember that they cannot see into your finances see the sacrifices you make to earn the car. Jealousy is at both ends of the spectrum. Even though I own a 10 year old miata, it looks brand new and much more expensive than it really is. I even had one person have the balls to ask me: "how can you afford that car? you must have alot of money". I nearly doubled over in laughter. I tell everyone that questions how I afford the car (it's paid for) that I have not done anything that they can't do themselves. So I guess that I'm saying that they see greener grass in your lot, you see the fertilizer and weed killing and mulching and cutting needed to get the grass that green.
