Somebody has that car as their avatar or in their signature. I have seen it floating around for a while.

Do you own one of these?

Speaking as someone who just sold his 12.85 Camaro SS for my 2002 Suzuka Blue, I can tell you there will always be a host of cars that will out accelerate our S2K's, and it seems just from my short time here, enthusiasts at S2ki.com are no different than others in their pursuit of more power. Having said that however, I learned from my SS ownership experience that for me personally, I prefer the type of cars I was weaned on from my early 20's (two seat roadsters). This is probably my 8th or 9th convertible and by far, the best. After 25 years of licensed driving, I think I've finally concluded that straight lines are for coke addicts, not two seat sportscars and while my 385hp SS definitely was (is) an S2000 killer, it was never the kind of car that begged me to drive 30 miles outside of town for a half gallon of milk. THAT makes owning this car worth every penny, speed be damned.

I remember seeing an opel speedster on a flatbed in Los Angeles last year. I guess somebody imported one.

I bought my S2000 not only because it was a good performing vehicle (power and handling), but because it was a Honda. I've owned GM products, and have always been disappointed in their reliability. More importantly, I've been disappointed in how GM treated me when problems came up.

I'll stick with Honda...I bought the car AND the company's reputation.

It looks a tad like the MR2 spyder. Just a tad.

Well said Russ For the money I paid for my S2000, I could have bought me a V8 and still have plenty of left over $$ if all I'm looking for is speed, torque, horsepower and what not. Or for that matter I could have bought one of them euro cars. Come to think of it...I've always dreamed of owning a bmw roadster. The moment I laid eyes on the S2000 and test drove it, I knew I have to own one. Because of what it is (one of a kind engineering marvel) and because it is a HONDA
