S2000...little changes? radical changes? big block V8? talk about it here

No body changes except to accomodate the following:
275 rear tires, 255 front.
2.5 liter v10 with 11,000 redline.
7-speed SMG.
a rear end that doesn't break.
and blue gauges
Just imagine the shriek on that motor. Oh, heaven......

I'm gonna attempt to be realistic here, in all seriousness:
Honda really needs a significant power increase...when the S2k was introduced, 240 hp was quite impressive, completely aside from the fact it was being generated by a 2L engine. Now, all of the S's "competitors" have significant power advantages...two examples that spring to mind would be the BMW's euro-engine in the M3's and the 350Z. I mean crikey, there's passenger cars and mini-SUV's everywhere now with 220+ HP. IMHO, a factory turbo option would be an attractive idea, though it does detract from the F20C's mystique. I think 300 HP is a good impressive target number. That may even be a bit short-sighted...maybe stretch to 320 HP? A turbo would also help the torque.
With a big boost in power, we'd need a better clutch and rear end. We really need this now and with more power, it'd be absolutely vital.
A little more rubber on 17" wheels I think is also very reasonable...say 225/275...gotta preserve that balance.
And my personal favorite idea: a 7th gear, purely for interstate driving. Cruising at 83 mph puts me at a somewhat ear-bending 4500 rpm...why not tone it down to 3k? And it'd sure be unique too. Maybe even make it a sequential gearbox, but keep the stick where it is.
A little bit less weight. Aluminum suspension bits, lighter wheels, hardtop if need be.
<$40k is vital...preferably <$35k
C'mon Honda, this'll be easy! And I'd sure as hell trade up for it...

I think a nice V6 engine will do the trick 3.0 ltr engine with a nice 300 horsepower .the redline is perfect how it is maybe add another 1000 rpm to it.The body shape of the car is just perfect one of the best i have ever seen .

hey all, my first post
i don't own an s2k, but will be adding one to my line-up. i was on the verge of getting one, but i needed a car for the snow,.. hopefully soon i'll add the s2k as a nice weekender, or summer car.
as for what i'd like to see.. well i take the line of why mess with success. the s2k needs only small changes..
1) i5, i6 or v6 engine. the hp numbers are fine, 240 for a car this weight is nice.. but what i really want is more torque.. 240lbs with 240 horses would suit me just fine..
2) slightly upgrade the interior.. i would just get rid of all the digital stuff, and add analog guages.. i dunno, just my preference
personally, i'd keep the rpms where they're at.. 9k is perfect.. 10-11k, that's overkill imho if we don't go more cylinders.. a nice sup'd up turbo 4 would be nice

A nice 3.0 ltr engine
300 horsepower
17inch rims{i would change them to 18 anyway]
biger back to fit a bit more sound in and a bottle of nos
LEAVE THE BODYSHAPE THE SAME
