Frankly, I don't give a crap which one out shines the other in the short run. All I care about is the long run; which one will protect the best and the longest.

Does anyone know of tests for that (i.e., 5 year, 10 year, etc.). I can vouch that Blue Coral's AutoFom withstood the 10 year test with one of my cars. I'm sure there are better products out there now, just a question of which one for the long haul. Seems to be a battle of the "Z's" for shine but I'm looking for more. And, like the other's I'd be very suspicous of anything formulated for just my car - especially since they approached the club.

Any testimonials for long term use out there?

Frown on those of us who didn't get ripped off paying for marketing hype? How much did that stuff cost? $80 or something outrageous like that? Didn't you know it's only for Italian cars, and they make a cheaper, less worthy compound for our cars? j/k

Hey, doesn't Zymol already have one for S2000?http://www.zymol.com/s2000.htm
It is called Honda S2000 travel kit,
comprised of
HD-Cleanse, Japon Wax, Applicators for pre, wax stage.
$39.95

What blew my mind was that when I was at Asheville meet, King's show car (GTRPower's car) had shines unlike others I'd ever seen!!
It was definitely the shiniest car of all cars present.
When briefly inquired about that to Scott at King's, he just said Zymol but didn't say specifically which one and how they achieved the incredibly shine.

Did King use S2000 travel kit???? I doubt that,

But Greg can you find out which zymol they used specifically?
My silver car will never be shiny like Nick's car but I certainly want to use whatever that made Nick's car the shiniest car I'd ever seen.

Thanks.

Wow, I never knew a can of wax was able to discriminate by body shapes and curves. Learn something new every day. If it was to make my car any shiner than Zaino does it would be a safety hazard.

I look at the contents of Zymol rather than its "name". The ITAL, imho, suited my needs best based on the % of white versus yellow wax. The rest of the ingredents are apparently very similar. It looks killer on my car-- I love the stuff.. goes on like butter, comes off easy as cake.

As far as 80 bucks go... go buy... Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7...and jesus knows what else... and your easily at 80 bucks.

Anybody know anything about Finish First polish? I just ordered some online at http://www.finishfirstpolish.com
A buddy with a CL type S swears by it.
Please let me know before it arrives and I destroy my paint.

I have never tried Zaino, but I hear and believe what everybody has to say about it. But I am a Zymol guy myself. At first, I was really dissappointed by how Zymol felt (it looked fine). You do not get that smooth, silky feel when you touch it, at least not on the first application. I think I have used it 4 or 5 times this year and there is a real difference - the smooth feeling is there (but it feels more greasy, than silky). It seems like it really is good for the paint in the long run.

So while that Zaino/Zymol test was interesting to read it doesn't show what repeated applications do to the feel and shine.

If Zymol can make a a specific wax for our car that works better than their Japon, they will have to prove it to me before I take the plunge.
