Didn't you just purchase your car not too long ago? What are you getting next if you don't mind me asking?

I have not owned my s2000 that long but does this happen every year during the winter time and then they shoot back up in the spring/summer? Or are they just getting real cheap?
Scary to think I traded in my 5 year old 2001 S2K with 36k miles on it (which had a considerably lower sticker price), and got $18000 for it back in early 06, and got $500 below invoice on the 06 I purchased, and now I'd be lucky if I could get my three year old 06 with less then 10k miles for $17k on trade, even when the weather gets nice.
The car has suffered, and the car is getting cheap. High mileage 00-01 models selling for $7-$8000. Didn't see that coming this soon, but the car was simply made too long, and it's no longer on that list of best resale value like in the past, especially when they are unloading brand new ones for 5-7k off sticker. That's how it goes.
