I don't think the depreciation is just isolated to S2000's. More like most sports cars in general. You can get a 2006 Porsche Cayman S for the low 30's now. Even E46 M3 values have suffered. The resale value of a car has been a recent topic of many car forums. The general consensus is that they are depreciating assets, so stop worrying about it and enjoy the car for what it was mean for...driving. Unless of course you are in the position of having to sell.
