Default s2000 purchase price

I found a brand new 2004 s2000 with 20 miles on it selling for $28300 + tax.
It's silver stone metallic with black interior so the colors are not exactly what I'm looking for but the price sounds reasonable. How does this deal sound to you guys?
BTW I haven't been able to find one with red/black interior. Is there a high demand for this color combo?

$28300 includes dest and dealer prep(BS right?)

Maybe if I wait until the new miata is out, the deal would get better....

That's a great deal if it's real. The lowest I've heard for a new '05 is $29,700 + tax.

Why do they still have an '04 in stock? Is this a normal Honda dealer?

I paid $29,600 + tax & license for an '05 on Sunday. No trades, straight deal. Silverstone/Red & Black interior. 5mi on the clock.

You can definately bargain, and if it's an '04, you can do a better deal than that.

As someone with mild numbers dyslexia I need to ask for clarification...

Did you pay $24,700 for your S2k or was it $27,400 as mentioned in this post?

Normally, I wouldn't care. But, since we're trying to quantify "good deals" here I thought it'd be a good idea to seek clarification.

Yeah, a normal honda dealer.

In fact there are three different Honda dealers that still have new 2004 s2000 with some sort of sale on them.

Perhaps the demand for s2000 is not as high as it used to be due to new convertables being introduced this year...
