Default S2000 Re-design 2006? 2007?

Can someone please update me on when we expect a re-design, and what changes are rumored to be in the works for 06, 07.
I haven't been on the site for a while.
Tried searching the archives, but no real luck.
Thanks - Mike

well at least you tried searching, but the search must not have been working for you.

nobody can tell you for sure what changes honda will or wont make. they keep that under tight wraps. so far it looks like no major changes for MY2006.

If they keep their 4 MY trend, then 08 will be the next major changes to the car.

No doubt we won't get any "real" info, but for the most part, rumors usually have some truth to them. the 4 yr cycle is typical for a complete redo, but what about a mid-cycle freshening (gen 1 got door tweeters, different shift knob, I think some color changes halfway thru the cycle). Any color changes or anything????? Thanks a lot

Haven't heard of any, but I'm not looking either. Don't forget that a lot of the AP1 tweeks after 2 years were because Honda was still getting its feet wet with the whole RWD convertible sports car...it had been like 30something years.

Last Month's Road and Track stated then the s2000 might be cancelled in 2006 or 2007 with no successor in the pipeline. This is not set in stone of course; there is always the possibility that this car will sell for many more years with only slight changes... much like the NSX. I wouldn't expect anything major in any case, just a few evolutionary changes.

right. and the mags also said they'd be cancelling the S2k with no replacement in 2003 or 2004 as well.

the magazines have just as much info about it as we do.

Just communicating what I read, I'm not claiming their information is accurate at all.

On the contrary, I think this site is more accurate then most of the mags, depending on who from the site you listen to. I dont know a lot of the people anymore, but back in 2001, 2002, the regulars knew a lot of stuff ahead of time.

'06? '08? Aw crap. I really hope they stop making these cars. If they keep cranking these babies out then their value is just going to go down. Plus i'll start seeing them more and more. Don't get me wrong i love this car, but one reason i bought it was that it was a rare car on the road. That and its limited production would help raise its value.
