'06? '08? Aw crap. I really hope they stop making these cars. If they keep cranking these babies out then their value is just going to go down. Plus i'll start seeing them more and more. Don't get me wrong i love this car, but one reason i bought it was that it was a rare car on the road. That and its limited production would help raise its value.

'06 - V6, AWD, 7 sp semi-automatic, convertible hardtop, longer wheel base to accommodate a 2+2 design.

Here's my prediction: minor gearbox changes, because of some different issues with the carbon synchros and the modified gear ratios. Possibly also a removal of the clutch delay valve, if enough people with AP2 versions complain about early clutch burnout, though that might be a year or two later.

It wasn't "redone" for '04. Redone would mean a complete overhaul of the sheet metal, interior, and some/all of the drivetrain. What they did for 04 is a typical mid-run freshening that we can expect from any car mfg and any car model.

As with any limited production specialty car, expect the S2000 to have an extended model run in order to keep mfg costs to a minimum. Retooling is very expensive... So to say "expect 08" could be so far off base, it isn't funny. Impossible for any of us to know, or even predict a redo of the S2000.

The S2000 is still a beautiful car, and personally I see no reason to change it. And besides, I get a bad feeling that if they overhaul it, they might starting adding nonsense like traction control, stability control, and what not. No thank you.

EXACTLY! This is why I regard these sorts of threads as inane and senseless. I find this question to be laughable. Now, if it was presented in a "goofy" way like, "Just for fun, let's GUESS what Honda might do to the S2000 and when", I'd play along. But to think that anyone actually has a clue what's going to happen and when AND to see this question pop up month after month after month after month after month ...............................................
But wait! There are threads like this already in place in "Tell Honda".

You wanna know what's going to happen and when? HERE YA GO ......................
