S2000 really can be dangerous

Wait for it.... wait for it.... RACELOGIC TRACTION CONTROL FTW!!

I guess the TC eleminates the possibility of getting on the gas a little too soon?

I must apologize for causing great confusion regarding how this slipping happened. I was already in 2nd gear before I entered the corner. Upon entering the corner going for a right turn, I pushed the car too hard causing tail to swing leftward sliding to the opposite lane. I don't think this would've happened if I were in my FWD car. But yea... must not push the car above its limit when entering the corner...since it's RWD
Harder all season radials (with proper stagger) do make the car more forgiving, at the expense of total grip. When I purchased my car the previous owner had installed Toyo all season tires, and the things would howl like crazy, long before letting go, so the howling gave PLENTY of warning. However, I think the lower grip limit actually made the car more dangerous, because it was all too easy to overpower the back tires. Less aggressive tires give more warning, but I'm just not sure that it's a good tradeoff. If you turn in hard enough, and then feed in too much throttle, the tail will come out no matter what tires you have on the car.
all cars are dangerous
learn them before you go crazy..
i guess some people underestimate our cars.. thinking they can drive it like no one can...
then all of a sudden they go out of control... then all you can hear is oh shit i fawk up...

Almost without exception all car accidents are down to 1 thing.
The driver not driving appropriately for the conditions.
I don't see too many posts on S2KI saying "My driving skills are not up to snuff" but for some reasons there are lots on "The S is scary/ dangerous" etc.

I slide my car around quite a bit (rear S02's last me from 3,000 to 5,000 miles), and I think CKit also likes to power around tight turns with the tail out.
I purposely let the SC vent (to run ~NA) when I ran the Dragon in the rain. I was on fresh S02s and the car didn't have a problem at all. I was even 4.57 geared at the time.
This past week, also on fresh S02s, the rear was sliding all over the place when I pushed it on 7psi.
I love the confidence of the Racelogic in the wet. I can accelerate past Hyundai Accents without having to worry that a little jab of the tightened throttle cable will send me off into the weeds.
On second thought, Red... the Racelogic might actually be useful auto-Xing. You could push it to the limits of traction without risking a time-eating bobble.
About tail sliding... the guy behind me on the last group drive commented that my car looked like something out of a Road Runner cartoon: the rear tires would spin around the turn (much faster than the fronts) then "beep beep..." GONE.
I'm actually thinking about practicing drifting in the rain with the new "Training wheels" set to 25% slip. On closed tracks and asphalt. Not on the regular street.

Hasn't happened again since
