Default s2000 slower with ac on

I'm sorry if this seems like a stupid questions.

Is it just me or Is our cars slower on Acceleration when the AC is on?

Thank You

Yep, normal. Running AC robs power from the engine.

As far as I know, that's true for any car.

True for any car, but far more noticeable as the engine gets smaller.

Hit the A/C on a big V8 and you won't even know it's on.

I'm under the impression the compression turns off at WOT.

Can anyone confirm?

I know BMW M cars do, but I'm not sure the S does.

S definitely does. The clutch has to disengage for the higher RPMS....

This is my biggest pet peeve with the S2000--coming from an LS1 car where I very much didn't notice the robbed power from using the AC it's a real drag when I have to put it on in the S2000. The good thing is this only happens when it's raining and thus I don't necessarily need the power anyways--otherwise the top is down!

Not only does AC slow the s2k down, but excessive battery usage, too, as you're drawing more from the alternator.
