Either way, I'm very happy with my s2000 and wouldn't trade it but I do wish the steering was not so heavy. If I could combine the steering feel of the mx5 with everything else on the s2000 that would be great.

Aren't you happy that now you aren't driving a Barbie car? I drove an MX-5 and sure, it handled brilliantly but look at it...it's nowhere near as good looking as an S2000, sounds worse and has a less exciting engine.

(Just as a general rule, you shouldn't post that your front wheel drive Accord with a huge weight bias up front, heavier chassis weight, higher CG and less horsepower goes around any corner faster than an S2000.)
Actually, most people are surprised by this...but my Accord has quite a bit more horsepower and is only heavier by a passenger weight. Last time it was on a dyno it was at 230whp with 90% peak torque from 1500-6500RPM. Since then I've put on a couple of additional mods, I would guess conservatively it's around 260-270hp at the crank. I raced both last summer from 20 and 40MPH with one of my friends driving my S2K and me driving my Accord...the Accord stomped it without a problem. Obviously it's not a sports car like the S2000 and proves about 1/10th the driving excitement and has zero character, but it is quite a bit faster in a straight line and does have excellent steering and handling for what it is I didn't buy the S for its acceleration!

(I have to stick up for my Accord, I've had her for a lot longer and she gets jealous that I almost exclusively drive the S in the summer.)
A 2007 Accord Coupe V6 manual weighs 3298 lbs, a 2007 S2000 weighs 2855 lbs. So your single passenger needs to weigh 443 lbs ...

Anyway, enjoy both cars, learn more about your S2000 and get it properly set up and you'll experience corner speeds far higher than the Accord.

Has anybody ever seen this write-up? It looks interesting, but I don't personally know enough about electronics to tamper with my car, yet.

OP thought I was the only one that thinks the steering feel in the S2000 is fine as is...

I'm pretty sure he said he liked everything about the S better except for the steering feel. I've had plenty of people call my S a barbie car, it's not like it's a Viper...

There's a guy I work with who rocks a black 1st gen turbo MX-5 with an enormous FMIC, full roll cage, etc. IMO it looks a lot more bad ass than my S when I park next to him.

The steering in my S2000 is great, I don't know what you guys are taking about. The only one that's better was my old 2006 Lotus Elise. The manual rack was almost telepathic. My S has just as good of steering as any Porsche I've driven (which is everything from 993 to Carrera GT). The only issue I have with it is that it gets too light when you go fast (over about 145mph), but I think that's more aerodynamics. My car is stock, with exception to minor brake upgrades.

My 86 CRX Si (manual rack) sets the standard for feedback in my personal experience.

The S steering works fine (input, response, etc.) but it will never have the feedback of a manual rack IMO, especially in a lighter car.

Yes, I'm sure the steering in the S matches that of the Carrera GT.

OP may be interested in swapping for CR steering rack.
It's about $800 so not too crazy.
