Yeah, its a joke. I'm going to the UK next week, last time I was there I didnt see one S2000 - however I seen a few Skylines which made me miss the UK even more

BTW, whats going on with the exchange rate?

1.00 USD = 0.53 GBP

Seems to have moved alot, I cant remember if it used to be better or worse just 6 months ago.

[QUOTE=KenS2K,Nov 20 2004, 06:16 AM] The EU is not about being competitive. It's a Marxist roadmap back through socialism to complete communism.

In fact the US has some of the highest standards of protectionism in the world.
Are you serious?? More than Asian countries??? I doubt it. We import tons more than we export...ESPECIALLY cars. Why do you think our trade deficit is so huge??????

If you didn't most of your primary industry would collapse.
"would collapse"? They have collapsed.

Just FYI, in a Southeast Asian country -

1997 or 98, friend's dad bought a Jaguar XK8 and a 3.0 S-type at the same time.
XK8 - US$300,000; S-type - US$100,000.
in 2001, another guy bought a brand new CLK230 Kompressor - US$115,000.

just recently, an Evo VII set another guy back US$49,000.
the brand-new 2005 A6, retails at US$125,000.

go overseas and you'll start wondering how ppl actually even afford them.

It is about a weak dollar guys - which is good for us buying things from you!!

Also the taxes are high - especially in UK - 17.5% VAT (Sales tax kinda thing)
