towing it isnt the problem. back in the day jeep had an advertisment where a jeep was pulling 3 train boxcars... well they didnt show you them trying to stop it. just think tooling in the s with the boat. soem idiot pulls out infront of you, you slam on breaks. lock up. trailer fishtails, flips. car, boat, and possibly yourself all messed up.

^ Which is probably why he pointed out that he was going like 5mph down a private road that was less than a mile long (or something like that... I'm not re-reading the whole thread).

This thread is great!

You guys still have a boat on Lavon? You should give me a call when you take it out.
He should bring it out to Tyler on July 14th for Lake Day!

Actually, the brakes on the S2000 are fantastic for towing the boat. I felt more confidence stopping the boat with my S than I did my Chevy Tahoe. The problem is the stiff suspension and wimpy hitch. If I were to go over a bump or dip at any significant speed, the boat would rip the bumper off in a heart beat.

I do have an IS350 now, and I would use it to tow the boat if I could find a trailer hitch for it. However, the boat is now in a slip at Joe Pool Lake. I would love to take it out to Tyler, but that would be a HUGE hassle.

What page is the video on? Too many pages to read all the way through. I am curious to see it becuase I would like to tow a wave runner, although i will most likely pick up an s-10 or ranger.

The video is here.

Please don't waste your money on a truck if you are only towing a wave runner. I've towed heavier trailers than that hundreds of miles on the interstate at 80+ MPH.
